McCarty scored three times and racked up 228 yards of offense in helping Albany remain the lone undefeated team in NEC play. The sophomore tailback rushed 27 times for 167 yards and two touchdowns during the Great Danes’ 45-17 victory over Robert Morris. McCarty’s other touchdown came on Albany’s longest pass play since 2001 as the sophomore took a second-quarter screen pass 61 yards into the end zone. McCarty’s 228 all-purpose yards were the most by a Great Dane since 10/23/04. Saturday’s win marked the third consecutive game, and fifth this season, that UA tailback has eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark.
