Brown led the Blue Devils back into NEC playoff contention with a 2-0 win at first place Monmouth on Friday and a 1-0 victory at Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. CCSU, which has won three straight, moved into fifth place in the league standings, just one point out of the fourth and final NEC Tournament spot. Coming off the bench in both contests, Brown provided all the offense for the Blue Devils on the week with three goals. He converted a Yan Klukowski corner kick in the 43rd minute against Monmouth, then struck again five minutes later following a cross from Jonathan Agbatar. Klukowski set up Brown again on Sunday, who scored the game’s lone goal in the 27th minute. The Isle of Man, Great Britain native now leads the Blue Devils with five goals and ten points on the year.
