Piotr Czech Award NEC Special Teams Player of the Week Week Of 10/1/2007 Sport Football School Wagner College Year Position Hometown High School Czech is the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time during the season’s first five weeks, during one of which Wagner was idle. The senior placekicker’s 47-yard fourth-quarter field goal was the difference in Wagner’s 18-15 conference win over Sacred Heart. The game-winning kick was an historic one as well, making Cezch the Seahawks’ all-time leader with 36 career field goals. With his three field goal day (46, 31, 47), Czech moved past Tom O’Riordan’s (1983-86) mark of 35 career FGs. Dualing as the team’s punter, Czech was masterful once again in helping the Seahawks’ win the field position battle. All four of his punts were downed inside the Sacred Heart 20-yard line with two of them being inside the 10.
