Brito claims his second Brine/NEC Player of the Week award of the season after scoring four times in the Bobcats’ 1-0-1 week. Brito netted his second hat trick in the last three games as Quinnipiac came back strong from a 12-day layoff to shutout visiting Canisius, 5-0, on Friday. The natural hat trick occurred in the first half as the Bobcats took a 4-0 lead at the break. Brito’s goal off a free kick with 15 minutes to play on Sunday helped Quinnipiac remain unbeaten on the year (5-0-1) and salvage a 2-2 draw with Siena. The Sao Nicolau, Cape Verde native is currently the nation’s leader in both goals (1.5) and points (3.2) per game, and ranks first in the NEC with nine goals and 19 points.
