Wilson made a team-high nine tackles and also produced two key defensive plays in the fourth quarter of the Pioneers’ overtime loss to Duquesne. With his team trailing 23-17 and less than ten m inutes remaining in the game, Wilson broke through the Dukes’ line to cleanly block Dave Kovalcik’s punt. Then, the senior defensive back scooped up the loose ball and carried it 18 yards into the end zone for the game-tying touchdown. Minutes later on Duquesne’s next possession, Wilson recovered a fumble to give his team an opportunity at the go-ahead score.
