Testa earned his first win of the season in impressive fashion on Friday by tossing a complete-game three-hitter in Wagner’s 5-1 victory over Long Island. The Brick, NY product, who struck out six and walked just two over 7.0 innings, had his shutout broken up in the seventh when the Blackbirds pushed across an unearned run. Testa has given up three earned runs or less in each of his last five starts while going at least six innings in each game. He has posted a 2.73 ERA during that span. Testa currently tops the Seahawks in innings pitched (37.1), ERA (4.34), strikeouts (34) and complete games (two). His six strikeouts on the week pushed his career total to 180, just two behind Bruce Wilson for fourth all-time at the school.
