Lewis has started in every game at second base this season and ranks third on the team in RBIs and is tied for second in doubles after the first month of play. Against Maryland, she went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. In the Blackbirds 5-4, extra-inning victory over Cal State Fullerton, the freshman came up huge at the plate. With LIU down 4-2 in the top of the seventh with two outs, runners on second and third and a 1-2 count, Lewis ripped a double to right field that scored two runs and sent the game into extra innings. In the top of the ninth, her sacrifice fly to left field scored classmate Mariesha Marker for what proved to be the game-winner.
