Mojica walks away with his second Choice Hotels/NEC Player of the Week award of the season as the league-leading Blue Devils stretched their win streak to ten with a pair of victories last week. One of three CCSU players to average at least 20 points on the week, Mojica recorded 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, while hitting 58.6 percent (17-29) from the field, 66.7 percent (6-9) from outside the arc and 87.5 percent (7-8) from the line. In a 96-75 win at Long Island on Monday, he tallied 15 points, nine rebounds and two assists as CCSU won for the fourth straight time on the road. Mojica then exploded for a career-high 32 points on Saturday as the Blue Devils stretched their lead over the NEC field to three and one-half games with a 94-71 conquest of second place Quinnipiac in New Britain. He drained 12-18 shots from the floor, including 3-4 from long range, to go along with nine rebounds, four assists and two steals. Mojica currently leads the conference with 18.8 ppg in NEC play, and ranks second overall with 17.4 ppg. The Auburn, MA product also stands sixth in rebounding (7.2 rpg), fourth in three-point percentage (.438), sixth in made three-pointers (2.2 per game), ninth in steals (1.5 spg) and tenth in assists (3.3 apg) and free throw percentage (.771).
