Kerner was superb last week, pushing Quinnipiac to six-straight wins and a 2-0 mark in NEC with victories over Saint Francis (PA) (89-69) and Fairleigh Dickinson (68-56) last week. The sophomore averaged 21.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 assists in the two wins, while shooting 53.6 percent (15-28) from the field, 85.7 percent (12-14) from the charity stripe and 1-of-1 from three-point territory. Against the Red Flash, Kerner scored 21 points and dished out five assists and made 9-of-10 free-throws in the contest. Against Fairleigh Dickinson, the point guard netted 22 points, drilling 9-of-16 shots, snaring four rebounds and posting a pair of assists and steals. For the season, the standout, second-year player leads the NEC in scoring (18.6 ppg), ranks eighth in assists (3.28 apg), fifth in free-throw percentage (85.1%), 15th in field-goal percentage (45.0%) and is tied for 10th in steals (1.62 spg).
