Jackson’s spectacular play early on in the 2006-07 season has triggered the first 4-0 start in Robert Morris history. In winning his second consecutive Choice Hotels/NEC Player of the Week award, Jackson averaged 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.0 assists, while shooting 7-13 (53.8 percent) from beyond the arc and 6-6 from the line. In a 77-64 win over New Hampshire on Tuesday, he scored all 20 of his points - including 4-4 from long range - in the second half as the Colonials rolled past the Wildcats after trailing by two at intermission. On Sunday, Jackson recorded his second double-double of the season and 16th of his career with 21 points and 12 rebounds in a 55-43 triumph at Maine. In that contest, he tallied 14 points in the second half, including back-to-back trifectas and an assist on a Tony Lee layup in an 8-0 run that gave the Colonials a 40-31 advantage. The Monessen, PA product became the first player in school history to eclipse the 20-point plateau in each of the team’s first four contests. Jackson currently leads the NEC with 24.0 ppg, 10.8 rpg and a 90.5 percent mark from the charity stripe, while also ranking fifth in made three-pointers (2.75/game) and ninth in three-point percentage (.440).
