Simic is named NEC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season after tallying 70 digs, seven service aces and five assists from her libero spot. She posted double digit digs in all four LIU wins last week, helping the Blackbirds to their third straight NEC regular season title after posting league victories over Sacred Heart (3-0) and Saint Francis (PA) (3-0). Simic recorded 13 digs and three aces against the Pioneers and had 14 digs versus the Red Flash. In non-conference play, she notched 22 digs, three assists and one ace in a 3-2 win over Albany and had 21 digs and two aces in a 3-0 win over Syracuse. For the week, she averaged 5.0 digs per game and 0.5 service aces per game. On the year, Simic ranks third in the league in digs (3.92 dpg).
