Zabinski’s outstanding play helped defending NEC champion Robert Morris clinch an NEC playoff berth with a pair of victories last week. He registered a goal and an assist in the Colonials’ 2-1 win over Quinnipiac on Friday, scoring on a 25-yard blast in the 22nd minute to put Robert Morris on the board. He then fed Mark Klabnik, who tallied the game-winner in the 68th minute. Needing a win or tie to secure a playoff spot on Sunday, Zabinski assisted on Allan Brown’s header in the 22nd minute as the Colonials posted a 1-0 victory over Central Connecticut State. Zabinski has scored a point in five of the team's last six matches and has recorded two goals and four assists over that span. A native of New Cumberland, PA, he leads the squad with eight assists - tied for seventh-most in a season at Robert Morris - and is second with 16 points. Within the NEC, he ranks third in assists and seventh in points. The Colonials enter the NEC Tournament as the #4 seed and will face top-seeded Monmouth in a semifinal match on Friday at 11:00 am.
