For the second straight week and third time this season, Lopez walks away a dual winner as Brine/NEC Player and Rookie of the Week. A six-time Rookie of the Week honoree this season, Lopez had a hand in all three Monmouth goals last week as the Hawks extended their first place lead in the conference with a 1-0 win over Robert Morris on Friday and a 2-0 triumph over Saint Francis (PA) on Sunday. She scored the lone goal just 2:41 into the match against the Colonials, then helped stake Monmouth to a 1-0 lead over the Red Flash in the fifth minute of play when she dribbled out of a double team and found Kate Fogler in front of the net. Lopez added an insurance marker just before halftime, knocking a loose ball into the net. With her five point week, the Oakhurst, NJ native boosted her league-leading totals to eight goals, ten assists and 26 points. Lopez also ranked third in the nation in assists per game and 21st in points per game in the latest NCAA statistics report.
