Ahearn becomes the third different Quinnipiac player to win Brine/NEC Player of the Week accolades this season, joining teammates Susan Donovan and Kate Lissfelt. She scored the game’s lone goal in a 1-0 win over Robert Morris on Friday, taking a short cross from Lissfelt and redirecting the ball into an open net in the 42nd minute. It was Ahearn’s second game-winner of the season. She also assisted on Donovan’s 24-yard blast in the 53rd minute of a 1-1 draw with Saint Francis (PA) on Sunday. Ahearn, who hails from Danbury, CT, has totaled two goals and an assist so far this season after missing all but the season-opener last year due to injury.
