Muhammad had the best performance of his career on Friday night in a 29-26 win over Southern Connecticut State on defense and on special teams. Perhaps Muhammad's biggest play of the game came in the form of a blocked punt in the second quarter. With CCSU trailing 10-0 to the Owls, the Buffalo, NY native blocked a punt and gave CCSU possession at the SCSU’s 20 yardline. Three plays later, the Blue Devils cut the lead to 10-7 on an 11-yard Justise Hairston touchdown run. On defense, Muhammad had a career and game-high 18 tackles (13 solo). Muhammad also added a pass break-up as the Blue Devils won for the 18th time in their last 24 contests.
