Hairston earns consecutive NEC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the No. 23 ranked Blue Devils after posting the most productive game of his career in a 29-26 win over Southern Connecticut State on Friday night at New Haven. The Rutgers transfer rushed 22 times for a career-high 241 yards and a career-high three touchdowns as the Blue Devils improved to 3-0 for the first time in 33 years. The New Britain High School product scored on runs of 11, 23, and 68 yards. Hairston also had 43 return yards, giving him 284 all-purpose yards in the game. On the season Hairston has 628 all-purpose yards (209.3 yards per game) in three games and has scored four touchdowns. Hairston currently leads the NEC in rushing at 139.7 yards per game and is averaging 7.6 yards per rush.
