Simic posted a .230 hitting percentage with 33 kills, 54 digs, 10 assists, five service aces and three blocks in her debut for Long Island last weekend at the Manhattan Tournament. The rookie outside hitter posted double-doubles against both Stony Brook and Rhode Island, which also included a match-high 28 digs against the Rhams. In a 3-2 loss to Stony Brook, Simic recorded 12 kills, 12 digs, four assists, two aces and one block. Along with her 28 digs, the Serbia native also recorded 12 kills, five assists, two blocks and one service ace in a 3-1 win over Rhode Island. Simic rounded out the week with 14 digs, nine kills, two aces and one assist in a 3-0 victory over host Manhattan. She currently tops the Blackbirds in digs with 4.50 digs per game.
