Bedoya put the finishing touches on a stellar rookie campaign with a pair of goals in the Knights’ 2-0 week. Bedoya scored his league-leading fifth game-winner of the year in a 1-0 triumph over Central Connecticut State on Friday when he took a short pass from Pino Tubito and punched it into the bottom right corner of the net in the 34th minute. Faced with a must-win situation on Sunday against Quinnipiac, he scored into an open net after drawing out the goalkeeper following another feed from Tubito. The goal gave FDU a 1-0 edge in the 59th minute in a game the Knights would go on to win, 2-1. Bedoya, who scored six goals in nine league matches, leads all NEC freshman and ranks third in the conference with 19 points. His eight goals tie him for most among freshman players and place him third overall in the conference. The Weston, FL native is a two-time Brine/NEC Rookie of the Week award winner.
