Parsons, a senior defensive lineman, had a standout game for the Blue Devils as CCSU clinched at least a share of its second straight NEC Championship with a 24-17 victory at Sacred Heart on Saturday. The Kennebunk, ME native had five tackles (2 for losses) and two sacks, including one which resulted in a forced fumble and a Sacred Heart turnover. Parsons and the Blue Devils sacked Sacred Heart's quarterback seven times on the day and held the Pioneers to minus-four yards rushing in the game. CCSU also held the NEC's leading rusher, Ed Pricolo, to a season-low 46 yards on the ground. On the season, Parsons has 42 total tackles, 5.5 tackles-for-loss, 3.0 sacks, a fumble recovery and is tied for the team-lead with three forced fumbles.
