Jones anchored two key road wins for Sacred Heart last week, posting shutouts as the Pioneers downed St. Francis (NY) and Long Island by identical 1-0 scores to stretch their unbeaten streak to six and move into a tie for fourth place in the conference. Jones preserved the win over the Terriers on Friday with eight saves, then turned away four shots against Long Island. The Stoke-on-Trent, England product has permitted just four goals during the six-game streak to drop his season goals against average to 1.09, good for fifth in the conference. Jones also ranks second in the NEC with five shutouts.
