McCaffrey made her first collegiate goal a memorable one when she scored the game-winner with just 1:32 remaining in double overtime in a 2-1 triumph over St. Francis (PA) last Friday. The win kept the Blue Devils’ perfect NEC record intact and left the three-time defending NEC champions on the verge of clinching the league’s regular season crown after a 4-2 win over Robert Morris two days later. McCaffrey took a feed from Danielle D’Ambrosio inside the six yard box, then blasted the ball home to stretch Central Connecticut State’s win streak to eight matches.
