Wilson, a freshman cornerback, made the decisive play in the win over Wagner on Saturday afternoon as the Blue Devils remain in a tie for first place in the league with Monmouth. The Bridgeport, CT product, who takes home his second NEC Rookie of the Week award this season, and first since week 1, intercepted a John Sciarra pass in the endzone and returned it 100 yards on the tying two-point conversion attempt with two seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Wilson also had a team-high seven tackles and a pass break-up for the Blue Devils who have won four of their last five games. CCSU team members have earned five straight league rookie of the week honors.
