Long had a role in all three Mount St. Mary’s goals last week in a 1-1 tie with Elon on Friday and a 2-0 conquest of Delaware on Sunday. In the deadlock with an Elon team ranked eighth in the South region by the NSCAA, Long served the ball on a corner kick to teammate Brandon Moncrief, who scored on a header with two seconds remaining before halftime to give the Mount a one-goal edge. Two days later, the Gaithersburg, MD product converted a penalty kick in the 23rd minute to open the scoring, then netted a second tally early in the second half. Long, who came into his senior campaign with two goals and six career points, has already totaled three goals and seven points in 2005.
