Corto guided Sacred Heart to its first win of the season, posting 10 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks, forcing three fumbles and registering a pass breakup in a 38-14 victory over Iona. Two of Corto’s forced fumbles led to a pair of Pioneer touchdowns. The Corto-led defense sacked three different Gael quarterbacks a total of seven times for 66 yards and held Iona to just 11 yards rushing. For good measure, the junior versatile performer, who earns his first NEC career weekly honor, fielded nine Iona punts and also lined up at wide receiver for several plays in the first half.
