A two-time first team all-NEC doubles competitor, Salvatore teamed with New Hampshire transfer Sherrill to win the "B" flight title at the Fairfield Doubles Festival on Sunday. In round robin play, the duo defeated Fairfield’s "A" team, 8-6, followed by wins over Rhode Island, 8-2, and Sacred Heart, 8-1. Salvatore and Sherrill then ousted Fairfield’s "B" unit, 8-3, in the semifinals, before earning an 8-6 decision over UConn’s Christian Malerba and Joey Michaels in the championship match. For Salvatore, it marks the third Prince/NEC Player of the Week honor of his career.
