Pearson, who attempted only seven field goals a season ago for the Blue Devils, was 4-of-5 in field-goal attempts Saturday afternoon at Hamilton, NY, including the game-winner as time expired in a historic, 24-22 victory over Colgate. The Caldwell, NJ native concluded the game with field goals of 48 (career-best), 42, and a pair of 32-yarders including the finale. In addition, Pearson is now 7-of-10 in his career from beyond 40 yards. Pearson, who also has the duty as the team’s punter, drilled five punts for an average of 42.6 yards Saturday, including a game-long of 62 yards. The senior earns his second career NEC Special Team Player of the Week award.
