A three-time all-NEC selection, Sands sparked the Monmouth attack with two goals and three assists in the Hawks’ 1-1 week. She scored once and registered a career-high three assists in a 9-0 rout of St. Peter’s on Thursday. Three days later, she converted a 19-yard direct kick in a 3-2 setback to Seton Hall in a match that wasn’t decided until the Pirates scored on a breakaway with just two seconds remaining in regulation. Sands, who has led the Hawks in scoring in each of the last three seasons, now has 71 career points (28 goals, 15 assists).
