Axler went undefeated in singles and doubles play last week as Quinnipiac knocked off Wagner, 7-0, on the heels of a 5-2 loss to a formidable Army squad. After recording an 8-5 win at #2 doubles along with partner Kat Ehle, Axler picked up the Bobcats’ lone singles victory against Army with a 5-7, 6-2 (10-8) triumph over Jen Segar in a #4 flight match. She had little trouble scoring a 6-0, 6-0 win over Wagner’s Aarti Mahtani two days later, and rolled to an 8-0 victory with Ehle in doubles. With the four wins last week, Ehle moved up to sixth place in career wins at Quinnipiac with 123.
