A first team all-NEC selection at #2 singles a year ago as a freshman, Pasternak has continued to thrive since assuming the #1 spot in the Quinnipiac lineup this past fall. Over the last month, she posted a 4-3 mark against competitors from such notable programs as Yale, Depaul, Dartmouth, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Stony Brook and Colgate. Her best victory came against Bucknell’s Nada Curcic (6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (5)), who captured the Quinnipiac Invitational in the fall. She also took Dartmouth’s Jayme Ahmed - who is ranked 16th in the East region - to three sets, before falling, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. After dropping their first four matches of the spring, the defending conference champion Bobcats have won three straight entering play this week.
