Massari led Monmouth with a .545 batting average (6-for-11) in the Hawks’ three losses at #26 University of Central Florida over the weekend. Massari had two hits and scored a run in each game, and tallied at least one RBI in all three contests. He homered in his first at-bat of the 2005 season, while collecting two hits in the first game of the series. Massari then went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored with a stolen base in game two. He collected a 2-for-3 evening in the final game, with his second home run of the year. Massari knocked in two RBI and scored a run, while also drawing a walk. The 2004 second team all-NEC selection also played the field perfectly, starting all three games at second base, registering a 1.000 fielding percentage with seven putouts and nine assists. Massari posted a 1.182 slugging percentage and a .583 on base percentage, and was 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts for the Hawks over the three game stretch.
