Luckey, who last week passed the 1,500-point mark for his career in just his junior season, led the Red Flash into sole possession of third place in the NEC with three home victories. For the week, he averaged 26.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and shot 50.0 percent (26-52) from the field and 86.4 percent (19-22) from the line. Luckey began with a 30-point outing (11-16 FG, 3-3 3PFG) in St. Francis (PA)’s 81-71 win over Mount St. Mary’s on Monday. In doing so, he became the first Red Flash player since Mike Iuzzolino in 1990 to record back-to-back 30-point performances. Luckey went on to key a second half rally that propelled St. Francis (PA) to a 65-57 triumph over first place Monmouth on Thursday. He scored 18 of his game-high 22 points after intermission and added four rebounds. Two nights later, the Baltimore, MD native went 8-16 from the floor and 9-11 from the charity stripe en-route to a 27-point performance in the Red Flash’s 76-75 conquest of second place Fairleigh Dickinson. With 1,576 career points, Luckey moved past Sandy Williams (1961-64) into fifth place on St. Francis (PA)’s all-time list and now stands 34th in NEC annals. He currently ranks second in the NEC in scoring at 20.8 ppg, a category he ranked 15th nationally last week. Luckey also pulls down 5.2 rebounds per game and is third in the circuit in free throw percentage (.818), sixth in steals (1.5 spg) and ninth in three-point percentage (.387).
