Suravicz stormed to an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 4:02.99 to win the one-mile race at the Penn State National Open last weekend. The senior shattered the St. Francis (PA) record (4:08.75) previously held by Kevin Dole. The time currently ranks fifth in the NCAA and is a personal best for Suravicz by almost 12 seconds.
