Pape propelled Sacred Heart to a pair of big wins and to the top of the NEC standings last week. The 2004 NEC Rookie of the Year winner recorded back-to-back double-double efforts, guiding the Pioneers to a 77-48 win at home against Quinnipiac on Thursday before topping then-first place Robert Morris, 69-60, at Western Pennsylvania on Saturday. Combating the Bobcats, the 5-8 guard collected 11 points and 10 rebounds despite playing eight minutes under her average in the lopsided victory. She also added to her league-leading steals total with three take-aways, while collecting a trio of assists and a block. Versus the Colonials, Pape carried the Pioneers offensively, shooting 10-of-16 from the field and scoring a season-high 25 points. Her 11 boards marked her second consecutive double-double, her fourth this season and ninth of her career. She also swiped three steals and an assist in 38 minutes. For the season, Pape ranks sixth in the league in scoring (15.4 ppg), seventh in rebounding (7.8 rpg) and first in steals (2.81 spg).
