Steele set two school records at the Great Danes Classic. He ran the 500-meter dash in 1:02.32 and the 55-meter hurdles in 7.74 seconds to break the marks. He also ran the 200-meter dash in 21.89 for a personal best and NEC high and helped the 4x400-meter relay team close second in 3:19.25. Steele qualified for the IC4A in all four events.
