Quinnipiac is a winner of four straight after breaking St. Francis (PA)’s, 31-game winning streak versus NEC opponents last Thursday and adding a come-from-behind victory at the Mount on Saturday. QU’s recent success is due in large part to the play of Pressley, the back-to-back Choice Hotels Player of the Week. The sophomore averaged 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists in the two games, while hitting 15-of-16 free throws and 6-of-15 three-point attempts. The New Haven, CT product netted a game-high 27 points and handed out a career-best seven assists to lead the Bobcats to the 76-69 upset at St. Francis (PA). She was 8-for-17 from the field for the game and hit seven free throws in the final 2:15 to ice the game. Pressley then avenged a slow start in the first half against the Mount, scoring 14 second-half points and draining four free throws in the final 1:05 to seal the 62-58 win. For the game, the 5-7 guard, who ranks third in the NEC in scoring (18.7 ppg) and tops in free-throw percentage (.915), collected 16 points, three rebounds and two assists.
