Pressley continues to forge ahead every game in proving that she is one of the top players in the NEC. Last week, the 2003-04 NEC All-Rookie team selection led the Bobcats to a pair of league wins and a hard-fought, two-point loss to Colgate. The 5-7 guard averaged 21.0 points and 3.0 rebounds, while shooting 46.9 percent (22-47) from the field, 57.1 percent (8-14) from three-point land and was perfect from the free-throw stripe (11-11). Pressley netted 24 points as Quinnipiac came up short at Colgate on Monday. She was 9-for-18 from the floor, including 4-for-6 from behind the arc. On Thursday, versus Fairleigh Dickinson, the New Haven, CT product shot 8-for-11 from the field and made 3-of-4 of her three-pointers, which led to 21 points in the victory. On Sunday against Monmouth, she made up for a slow start in the first half by scoring 14 second-half points to pace the Bobcats to a win over the Hawks. Pressley went 7-for-7 from the charity stripe, including two key free throws as time wound down to seal the win. On the season, the sophomore ranks third in the NEC scoring (18.2 ppg), 13th in field-goal percentage (.450), first in free-throw percentage (.907), second in three-point percentage (.433) and fourth in three-pointers made (26).
