Anderson, a redshirt freshman who missed the first six games of the season with assorted injuries, could be a force in the middle for Quinnipiac as league play heads into high gear. Anderson averaged 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and shot 50.0 percent (17-34) from the floor in three games for the Bobcats over the last two weeks. He sank 10-14 shots from the floor in a career-high 21-point performance in a 102-83 loss at Northern Arizona on December 21, then recorded his first career double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds in the Bobcats’ 102-93 double overtime win over Longwood on Sunday. In that contest, his layup with four seconds remaining in regulation sent the game into overtime. On the season, the Chester, NY native is averaging 10.8 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
