A preseason all-NEC pick by league head coaches, Klaiber exploded for a career-high 32 points, nine rebounds and two steals in the Knights’ 94-91 setback to St. Peter’s on Saturday. He drained 11-16 shots from the floor, including 3-5 from three-point range, as Fairleigh Dickinson erased an 11-point second half deficit, only to come up short when Tamien Trent’s potential game-tying three-pointer was off the mark as time expired. Klaiber, a first team all-NEC pick as a sophomore, currently ranks fifth in the NEC in scoring (16.7 ppg), rebounding (7.2 rpg) and three-point percentage (.449). The Greenbelt, MD native is also sixth in blocks (0.9 bpg), ninth in made three-pointers (2.2/game) and 15th in steals (1.3 spg).
