Monsac earns back-to-back Choice Hotels NEC Player of the Week honors after putting up two monster games for Robert Morris last week. The junior posted her fourth and fifth double-double of the young season, including a career-high 26 points and 21 rebounds against unbeaten Pittsburgh (6-0), along with 21 points and a career-best 23 rebounds in a conference victory over Quinnipiac. Monsac became the first Robert Morris women’s player to record more than 20 points and 20 rebounds in a single game since Elise James tallied 20 points and 25 boards in 1999. Monsac, a versatile forward/center, drilled 2-of-3 three pointers on the week and also picked up three steals. The Dominican Republic product is currently leading the NEC in scoring (21.2 ppg) and rebounding (17.0 rpg) and is tied for second in steals (2.6 spg).
