In his first collegiate game, Allen made his presence felt on both ends of the court in Long Island’s 66-56 win over defending Patriot League champion Lehigh on Sunday. Allen came off the bench to score 10 points on 5-10 shooting from the field, and added three rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal. One of three Texas natives on the Long Island roster, he also drew five charges in just 21 minutes of play as the Blackbirds notched their first triumph to open a campaign since defeating St. John’s in 1996.
