Harge accomplished one of the most impressive feats in the 66-years of Central Connecticut State football on Saturday. The sophomore tailback, playing in just his seventh official game of the season (he had one carry at Rhode Island before leaving with an injury), rushed 33 times for 147 yards and three touchdowns as the Blue Devils clinched a share of its first-ever conference football championship with a 28-23 win at Albany. In the process, Harge eclipsed 1,000 yards for the second time in as many seasons and finishes the 2004 campaign with 1,032 yards on 171 carries (6.0 ypc). In just two seasons, Harge is now third all-time at Central in career yardage with 2,114. Against Albany, the Sweet Home High School product added touchdown scores of five, eight and 48 yards, giving him 13 rushing touchdowns on the year and eight in the final two games.
