In one of the biggest matches in program history, Hipsman delivered a goal and an assist for the Knights, who clinched their first-ever NEC regular season title and earned the right to host the 2004 NEC Tournament with a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart in a winner-take-all affair in Teaneck on Sunday. After the Pioneers got on the board first in the 62nd minute, Hipsman wasted little time in scoring the equalizer, taking a pass less than a minute later from Casey Krischik then beating the Pioneer keeper who had come out to defend. She would then feed Michelle DeCourcey, who blasted home a 25-yard shot for the game winner in the 75th minute as the Knights finished the regular season unbeaten in league play with a 6-0-3 mark. Hipsman currently ranks fifth in the NEC in goals (eight) and points (19) and is tied for third with three game-winning goals. She is a two-time NEC Player of the Week award winner and a three-time NEC Rookie of the Week honoree this season.
