Bazan earns back-to-back NEC Offensive Player of the Week honors after rushing for 222 yards, including 120 in the third quarter, and three touchdowns in Albany’s, 35-27 victory over Wagner last Saturday. The quarterback also completed 3-of-6 passes for 27 yards and scored twice in the third period to rally the Great Danes from a halftime deficit. The Bronx, NY product became the second player in NEC history to run for 200-plus yards in consecutive weeks (UA’s Gary Jones in 2003). Bazan gained 230 yards and three touchdowns two weeks ago against Stony Brook. The fifth-year senior currently ranks second in the NEC in rushing (915 yards) and touchdowns (12).
