DePascale made a pair of outstanding plays that led to two Pioneers touchdowns in Sacred Heart’s, 48-14 triumph over St. Peter’s last weekend. The freshman defensive back blocked a punt in the first two minutes of the first quarter, which was downed on the St. Peter’s one-yard line. One play later, Ed Pricolo dashed into the endzone for Sacred Heart’s initial score of the game. On the ensuing kickoff, DePascale forced a fumble by the SPC kick returner, allowing teammate Joe Mish to recover the fumble at the Peacocks’ 17 yardline. Five plays later, quarterback Dan Ammel connected with tight end Mike Peshler for another Pioneer touchdown. To add to his special teams’ effort, DePascale collected five tackles on defense (3 solo).
