Gottesman, a two-time all-NEC midfielder who has been one of the sparks in Fairleigh Dickinson’s recent surge to the top of the NEC standings, scored his first two goals of the season in a pair of road victories last week. The junior tallied the game-winner on a give-and-go from Antonio Nunziata in the 99th minute of the Knights’ 2-1 overtime win at Mount St. Mary’s on Friday. In leading the Knights to their fourth straight victory, a 2-0 triumph over Monmouth on Sunday, Gottesman intercepted an attempted clearing pass and scored on a one-on-one opportunity in the 36th minute. A native of Haifa, Israel, seven of his 13 career goals have either been game-winners or tied a game.
