Galatie becomes the fourth Sacred Heart player to claim NEC weekly honors this fall after she logged a 3-1 record at #1 singles and a 3-1 mark at #1 doubles last week. Galatie earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Stony Brook’s Hana Chovanova, then rolled to 6-0, 6-0 wins over Wagner’s Gina Gelardo and Hofstra’s Vera Malezhih. Along with partner Pam Pillo, the Monroe, CT native had little trouble in doubles victories over Siena (8-2), Hofstra (8-2) and Wagner. On the season, Galatie is 4-3 in singles play and 6-1 in doubles competition.
