Tubito merited his second straight NEC Rookie of the Week honor after recording two goals and an assist as Fairleigh Dickinson took over first place in the conference with a pair of overtime wins last week. Trailing St. Francis (NY), 1-0, on Friday, Tubito connected for the equalizer after receiving a long ball from Antonio Nunziata with just over 13 minutes to play. He then assisted on Adrian Dinculescu’s game-winner three minutes into overtime. Two days later, Tubito’s header in the final minute of the first extra period gave the Knights a 1-0 win over Long Island. The freshman from East Hanover, NJ has now scored at least one goal in each of the last four contests and his team-leading 12 points (five goals, two assists) have all come over the last five matches, in which FDU is 4-1. For his performance, Tubito was also named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
