Ayoub netted two game-winning goals last week for Long Island, which ran its unbeaten streak to four with a 1-0 win over Monmouth on Friday and a 3-0 triumph over Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday. Ayoub broke a scoreless tie with 87 seconds remaining in the contest against Monmouth after taking a throw-in from Josh Couvillion ten yards from the goal. After drawing the defense, he quickly spun and fired a shot inside the left post for his first career goal. Ayoub, who hails from Toronto, would give the Blackbirds the only goal they would need against the Mount, converting a header off a free kick from David Ledet in the 32nd minute. He is now tied for the team lead with two goals and four points on the season.
