Johnson was perfect in both singles and doubles play last week as Monmouth registered victories over Delaware State (5-2) and St. Francis (NY) (7-0). In #2 flight singles action, she claimed a 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 win over Delaware State’s Carlene Young, then rolled to a 6-0, 6-2 triumph over St. Francis (NY)’s Anna Belfiore in a #3 flight match two days later. Johnson also teamed with Kelly Phoebus at #1 doubles for an 8-0 victory over the Terriers’ Alicia Browne and Jaime Browne.
