One of the top young offensive talents in the NEC, Hipsman was outstanding last week for the Knights, who went on the road to defeat Quinnipiac, 1-0, on Friday, then knocked off two-time defending NEC champion Central Connecticut State, 3-2, on Sunday. Hipsman scored both game-winners and tallied three points and one assist as Fairleigh Dickinson opened its conference slate with two victories. She netted the lone goal of the contest against Quinnipiac, converting a 25-yard blast just 11 minutes into the contest. In the win over Central Connecticut State, Hipsman assisted on the first goal of the contest, then put the Knights ahead 2-1 after converting Amanda Wheeler’s free kick with 22 minutes remaining. With the score deadlocked at 2-2, the Chester, NY native put Fairleigh Dickinson ahead for good, converting Julia Ralph’s through ball with ten minutes to play. Hipsman is tied for the league lead with three game-winning goals, and her five goals - which have come on just eight shots, an incredible .625 shooting percentage - ties her for second in the NEC. She is also fourth in the conference with 11 points.
